From a young age, Dr. Michael Archuleta knew that he would choose a path of serving others. Over the past twenty-three years, Dr. Archuleta has grown to appreciate the opportunities the nursing profession has and continues to afford him, including the opportunity to serve the great citizens of New Mexico.
From humbling beginnings, Dr. Archuleta is a New Mexico native having been born and raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Dr. Archuleta is the youngest of seven siblings and was the first and only to pursue secondary education. Dr. Archuleta is a proud alumnus of the College of Nursing at the University of New Mexico having obtained a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and Post-Doctorate certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Archuleta obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Health Systems Management from Loyola University New Orleans and holds a national certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare Quality and is board certified as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Dr. Archuleta has over 23 years of nursing and healthcare quality improvement experience across various settings that included, acute, long-term, and managed care settings.
As an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in a primary care clinic setting, Dr. Archuleta has a broad scope of responsibilities. He can perform assessments and diagnoses through physical examinations, analysis of medical history, and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests. He can also develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals, which may include prescribing medications and coordinating referrals to specialists.
Dr. Archuleta can manage both acute and chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, respiratory diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. He plays a key role in health promotion and prevention by providing preventive care services and educating patients on lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies.
In addition, Dr. Archuleta can provide palliative and end-of-life care to ensure comfort, dignity, and support for patients and their families. This includes symptom management and improving the quality of life for those with serious illnesses. Lastly, Michael also offers emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of acute or chronic illness.

Eloy is the AVP, Value-Based Contracts and Operations at Ardent Health Services. He joined the Ardent team in 2018 as the Director of Quality for Lovelace Medical Group and assumed the dual role as Division Director of Managed Care for Lovelace Health System in 2019. Ardent Health Services owns and operates 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care in six states with more than 25,000 employees, including 1,200+ employed providers. Prior to joining Ardent, he led state-wide provider engagement activities and value-based care programs for a local Medicaid MCO.
Eloy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from New Mexico Highlands University and a MBA with a concentration in Health Services from Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a native New Mexican, having grown up in Las Vegas, NM and currently resides in Albuquerque. When not spending time with family, he enjoys running the trails in the Bosque.
